Improve productivity in photoshop

1. to open an existing image file click anywhere on the blank (grey) photoshop screen.
2. to change the size of the clone, ereaser, paint etc tool use the "]" key to enlarge and "[" key to reduce size.
3. Do you find the photoshop desktop cluttered and difficult to work with. Try this. From the main top menu select WINDOW and click on each of the options you are likely to use frequently eg levels, navigator etc. These will open in a number of seperate windows on the desktop. Pick one of these and drag into it the functions you most use and drag out of it onto the open desktop the ones you dont use. You do this by clicking on the tab at the top eg "layers" and dragging it with the mouse into the required place. Close down the ones you dont need. What you should be left with on your desktop now is the toolbar, and one window with the functions you use often (in mine I have Layers, Navigator, and Undo History) and lots of space for your image(s).
